In 2020 Kimberly-Clark launched our new global 2030 Ambitions, which will see us improve 1 billion lives whilst halving our environmental footprint. Since then, in ANZ, we have positively impacted over 1 million lives and developed long-term partnerships with some of the most impactful organisations in our region. We also recently launched our first Reconciliation Action Plan, which is Kimberly-Clark Australia’s commitment to progressing reconciliation in Australia.
We're working to reduce our environmental footprint, too. We've set a local goal to be carbon neutral in our ANZ operations by 2030 and reduce our use of new, fossil fuel-based plastics by 50%. In 2021 we launched five new sustainable product innovations and worked with the South Australian Government and CSIRO on Australia’s first nappy recycling feasibility study.
These are just a few examples of how we’re showing care for people and the planet; more detail on these and other initiatives can be found in our latest Sustainability Stories for Australia and New Zealand. We know there’s a lot more to be done, and we look forward to sharing further updates as we progress.
