Business Civic Leadership Center's Corporate Citizenship Awards recognize businesses, trade associations, chambers of commerce, and partner organizations for demonstrating ethical leadership, corporate stewardship and for making a positive difference in society. The International Community Service Award honors a business or American Chamber of Commerce overseas that has exemplified the ideals of corporate citizenship through a specific community service program outside of the U.S., promoting better corporate-community relations and contributing to the positive development of its host country .
China Association of Social Workers
For the third year in a row (2007-2009), Kimberly-Clark China was honored as Chinese Excellent Corporate Citizen by China Social Worker's Association for the company's outstanding efforts on sustainable management policies and caring spirit to the communities and environment in China.

For four consecutive years, Kimberly-Clark has been recognized as one of the top 20 "Best Corporate Citizens" by Corporate Responsibility Magazine. In 2012, Kimberly-Clark was ranked No. 18, which made it the top-rated, non-food, consumer packaged goods company on the list. The survey ranks Russell 1000 companies on their performance in seven key areas: environment, climate change, human rights, philanthropy, employee relations, financial and governance.

For five consecutive years (2005-2009), Kimberly-Clark Corporation ranked No. 1 in the personal products category of the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World). The DJSI World rankings are based on the long-term economic, environmental and social performance of leading global companies across 57 industries.
GolinHarris Corporate Citizenship Index
In 2006, the Kimberly-Clark brand placed in the top 14 out of 152 brands in the fourth consecutive GolinHarris Corporate Citizenship Index, a national survey of Americans that evaluates companies based on their socially-responsible practices.

UK Corporate Responsibility Index 2008
Kimberly-Clark was recognized for its environmental and social sustainability with the results of the UK's Corporate Responsibility Index 2008, which is managed by Business in the Community. K-C received a Silver rating overall and scored particularly well, rating Gold (90 percent+) in Corporate Strategy and Marketplace Management.
Grand Award for Excellence in Sustainability Management
Yuhan-Kimberly received the Grand Award for Excellence in Sustainability Management from the Korean Ministry of Knowledge Economy in 2009. Yuhan-Kimberly is the first company to be inducted into the Hall of Fame for Excellence in Sustainability Management and Sustainability Communications by the Korean government.
Korean Sustainability Readers' Choice Awards
Yuhan-Kimberly's Sustainability Report was selected as the Best Report in Korea by Korea Management Association Consulting in 2009 and recognized for the best sustainability communication practices from a global organization (Korean Sustainability Readers' Choice Awards from GRI and a notable Communication on Progress from UN Global Compact).
FTSE4Good Index Series
In 2010, the FTSE Group included Kimberly-Clark on its prestigious FTSE4Good Index Series for the eighth consecutive year. The index recognizes companies for working towards environmental sustainability, developing positive relationships with stakeholders, and upholding and supporting universal human rights.
American Business Ethics Award
The Foundation for Financial Service Professionals recognized Kimberly-Clark as the large company recipient of the 2011 American Business Ethics Award. The award recognizes companies that exemplify high standards of ethical behavior in their everyday business conduct and in response to specific crises or challenges. Customers, employees, shareholders, or other members of the local community may nominate companies for the American Business Ethics Award.
Kimberly-Clark also was the recipient of the 2011 Greater Dallas Business Ethics Award.
Ethisphere's World's Most Ethical Companies
Kimberly-Clark is recognized by the Ethisphere Institute, the leading business ethics think-tank, as one of the 2012 World's Most Ethical Companies. The methodology for the rankings includes reviewing codes of ethics, litigation and regulatory infraction histories; evaluating the investment in innovation and sustainable business practices; looking at activities designed to improve corporate citizenship; and studying nominations from senior executives, industry peers, suppliers and customers.
Environmental Excellence Award
Kimberly-Clark received an Environmental Excellence Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency SmartWay Transportation Partnership for the third consecutive year (2007-2009), for our leadership in conserving energy and lowering greenhouse gas emissions.
Energy Star Partner of the Year
For two consecutive years (2009 and 2010), the EPA has honored Kimberly-Clark with the Energy Star Partner of the Year award in recognition of our comprehensive approach to energy management. Contributing to this achievement are rigorous tracking of energy usage at K-C facilities, more energy efficient equipment and lighting fixtures, programs to raise employees' awareness of their role in improving energy efficiency, and greater use of renewable energy sources, including landfill gas and biomass to generate the steam used in some manufacturing sites and offices.
EPA Green Power Partnership
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency ranked Kimberly-Clark No. 25 in the Top 50 Green Power Partnership organizations voluntarily using clean, renewable electricity from resources such as solar, wind, and low-impact hydropower. EPA's Green Power Partnership works with more than 1,300 partner organizations to voluntarily use green power. Green power resources produce electricity with an environmental profile superior to conventional power technologies, and produce significantly fewer greenhouse gas emissions. Kimberly-Clark uses about 197 million kWh – about 8 percent of our total annual electricity use – from green power sources like wind and biomass.
World’s Best Multinational Workplaces
Kimberly-Clark ranked No. 9 on the 2011 list of the “World’s 25 Best Multinational Workplaces” by the Great Place to Work Institute. The Great Place to Work Institute’s Best Multinational Workplaces List is based on the results of an international survey, which measures employees’ views on five key workplace attributes including credibility, fairness, respect, pride and camaraderie. Kimberly-Clark in particular was cited for best practices throughout its Latin American Operations to foster employee engagement and celebrate their contributions to the company’s success.
This recognition follows several international workplace awards received by Kimberly-Clark in 2011. Kimberly-Clark’s Latin American Operations was previously named the No. 1 multinational workplace among the 2011 “Best Companies to Work for in Latin America.” In addition, Kimberly-Clark was ranked one of the top “10 Best Workplaces” in France, Brazil and Bolivia by the Great Place to Work Institute, was voted No. 2 among “Best Companies to Work for in Spain” by Actualidad Economica, a leading financial magazine, and was named Italy’s “Top Employer” for 2011 by the CRF Institute.

Kimberly-Clark Ecuador was the No. 3 place to work in the country, Kimberly-Clark Peru was No. 9 in the country, Kimberly-Clark Colombia was No. 2 in the country, Kimberly-Clark Central America and the Caribbean was No. 2 in the region, Kimberly-Clark Brazil was No. 3 in the country, Kimberly-Clark Chile was No. 16 in the country and Kimberly-Clark Bolivia was No. 3 in the country.

Some 12 countries within Kimberly-Clark's Latin American Operations are among the 2010 100 Best Workplaces in Latin America, with Kimberly-Clark El Salvador ranked No. 1 among 1,400 companies participating. Four more LAO countries made the top 25, including Kimberly-Clark Honduras at No. 14, Kimberly-Clark Ecuador at No. 17, Colombiana Kimberly Colpapel at No. 18 and Kimberly-Clark Bolivia at No. 24. An additional seven Latin American countries are listed in the top 100 - which is unranked after the first 25 - and include Kimberly-Clark Chile, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Peru, Brazil, Panama and Dominican Republic.

The French arm of the Corporate Research Foundation has acknowledged Kimberly-Clark as one of the Top 20 Great Places to Work in France in 2010. The listing is published in a book which is distributed to all high schools and recruitment forums in France, with eight pages dedicated to K-C's HR policies, focusing on Talent Management, health and wellness program, culture, salary and benefits.

Yuhan-Kimberly was ranked third in the most attractive companies to work for in Korea with its excellent corporate image and Corporate Social Responsibility activities by Korea Management Association Consulting in 2009.

Badge of Accredited Healthy Workplace
Both HsinYing and ChungLi mills in Taiwan received "Badge of Accredited Healthy Workplace" from Department of Health, R.O.C. in 2009.
Management-Union Harmony Award
Hsin-Ying mill, Taiwan, won the Management-Union Harmony Award from the local county government in 2009.
National Golden Wingspan Award
HsinYing Mill, Taiwan, also won the National Golden Wingspan Award, which rewards the company that provides better employment opportunity for disabled citizens in 2009.
2009 National Safety Award
Yuhan-Kimberly's Taejon mill in Korea received a 2009 national safety award from the Korean government's Ministry of Labor in recognition of the facility's outstanding accident-prevention efforts and its three-year safety record of zero accidents.
Minister of Labour’s Safety, Occupational Health and Work Environment Award
In 2010, Kimberly-Clark Thailand received the Minister of Labour's Safety, Occupational Health and Work Environment Award in honor of the success of K-C's compliance with its global policy on safety, health and hygiene as well as the company's core values of caring for staff and communities.
Women in Business 2010 Ally Award
CEO Tom Falk received the Dallas Business Journal's Women in Business 2010 Ally Award for his support of the corporate advancement of women.
Worksite Wellness
In 2010, Kimberly-Clark's Neenah, Wisconsin, locations earned one of five gold awards, the top level, for worksite wellness from Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle.
2011 Corporate Equality Index
Kimberly-Clark achieved a 100 percent rating on the 2011 Corporate Equality Index, the annual survey conducted by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation that measures major businesses' efforts for supporting workplace equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) employees. This is the second year that K-C has received this top rating and it will be featured again on HRC's "Best Place to Work" list as well as the organization's annual "Buying Guide for Equality."
National Health and Wellbeing Award
Kimberly-Clark UK was accredited in 2010 with a prestigious national Health and Wellbeing award by the Government backed organization, Investors in People. The award recognizes that our company is leading the way in good practice in employee health and wellbeing management.

Kimberly-Clark’s Latin American Operations is ranked No. 1, for the third consecutive year, as the best multinational workplace among the 2012 Best Companies to Work for in Latin America as named by the Great Place To Work Institute.
CRF Institute Awards
In Italy, the CRF Institute awarded Kimberly-Clark its “Top Employer” award for the second consecutive year. The Top Employers label is only awarded to organizations that meet the Institute’s best-practice criteria across elements such as primary or direct benefits, secondary or indirect benefits and working conditions, training and development, career development and company culture.
In Spain, the CRF Institute awarded its “Human Resources Excellence” award to the Iberian Human Resources team. This award benchmarks internal HR teams against the best externally, and was presented to the team for excellent work in supporting the business and facilitating the delivery of the People Strategy.
