The Kimberly-Clark Corporation began doing business in China in
1994. Now, Kimberly-Clark China has three manufacturing facilities
in Beijing, Nanjing, and Shanghai, producing and selling several of
our well-known brands such as Kotex, Huggies, Kleenex, and Depend.
While there, Kimberly-Clark is devoted to maintaining a long-term
development strategy in China.

Corporate social responsibility activities in China
include:
- In 2010, Kimberly-Clark China donated RMB 200,000 to the China
Foundation for Poverty Alleviation for drought relief in Southwest
China. The program aims to provide basic survival supplies, such as
water and food, to the area in southwest China that has been
devastated by drought over the last several months. These funds
also are being used to help the area develop a suitable water
source through the Water Diversion Project.
- The first Kimberly-Clark Children's Home was established in
Shuangdong No.1 Primary School, Jingyang District, Deyang.
Kimberly-Clark donated books, paper and school supplies to the
school to meet their needs in order to create a good space for
children to study and play after school. All funds were donated by
Kimberly-Clark China employees.
- Kimberly-Clark has donated more than RMB 6 million in cash and
relief supplies to provide long-term disaster relief after the
Wenchuan and Yushu earthquakes.
- Kimberly-Clark has hosted Huggies Baby Concerts and Huggies
Pre-Mom Concerts for young parents and their babies.
- Kimberly-Clark regularly conducts Huggies Baby Swimming
competitions in order to set interactive stage for Chinese families
to learn about infant education.
- In 2008, Kimberly-Clark China conducted the Depend Health Care
Tour campaign to raise the public awareness of incontinence through
product donations to senior homes, free community clinics, and
educational lectures.
- Kimberly-Clark China supports New Day Foster Home by donating
Huggies diapers and Kleenex tissue and organizing employees to
visit the orphans every year.
- Kimberly-Clark China sponsors the Young and Female Chorus of
the China National Symphony Orchestra, supporting quality music
education for Chinese children and youth.
- Kimberly-Clark China has collaborated with The Jane Goodall
Institute in China on "3R Better Life" and "Saving Water - Saving
our Planet" environmental protection campaigns in Beijing,
motivating younger citizens to improve the environment by reducing,
reusing and recycling daily trash and saving our limited water
resources.
- Since 1999, Kimberly-Clark China has adopted two giant pandas
named Kimberly-Clark and Kleenex from Chengdu Research Base.
Kimberly-Clark also sponsors a Panda drawing competition for
children.
