At Kimberly-Clark, everything we do - from helping communities to caring for the planet - is linked to our mission to lead the world in essentials for a better life. Sustainability is inherent to this mission and challenges us to create a better future by being responsible stewards of the environment and positive contributors to our communities.

Throughout our history, we've connected long-term business growth with essential social and environmental needs, and we will continue to do so as we approach our 150th anniversary in 2022.

Building on our Sustainability 2015 program, Sustainability 2022 is a commitment to:

  • Invest in innovative social programs so that people who lack the basic essentials in life - sanitation, health, wellbeing - get the help they need
  • Innovate to extend the life of product and packaging materials
  • Reduce pressure on precious natural resources with the development of sustainable alternatives

We invite you to explore the stories that are helping to bring our sustainability aspirations to life, as well as our latest report, which provides a comprehensive overview of progress toward our sustainability goals.

Safety made essential

In 2014, our operations achieved a 75% reduction in machinery-related risk as a result of implementing a global safety strategy to engage all employees.   We achieved a 19% reduction in reportable incidents and zero fatalities - the company's safest year ever.
