JOB DESCRIPTIONS |

production planning - Develops, controls and manages operating schedules in the company's production facilities and distribution centers utilizing sales forecasts developed with marketing and knowledge of production capabilities. SAP tools are used to establish plant production levels and inventory targets. Responsibilities also include short- and long-term analysis of equipment capacity and material needs.
sourcing & supply management - Negotiates with suppliers on matters of quality, service and price. Creates and develops sourcing plans and conducts industry analysis. Participates on project teams and meets objectives by providing procurement expertise through acquiring assigned goods, equipment and/or services that provide the best total cost of ownership to the corporation.
transportation - Negotiates with carriers for price, service and equipment to achieve delivery of materials and product at minimum distribution costs. Analyzes and performs mode/carrier selection, shipment tracking, and measurement of customer service and carrier performance.
customer service/demand planning – Provides efficient, cost-effective solutions for order management and aggressively works to improve supply chain performance. Builds relationships with internal and external customers; works proactively with customer and sales to reduce cost to serve; and communicates and resolves order issues with customers and sales.
distribution operations – Supports customer service and business objectives. Team members manage the flow of product from the case packer through shipment loading. Several support functions such as engineering, third-party operations management and order fulfillment are included in this team.
distribution analysis - Supports the consumer businesses by helping them understand the supply chain impact of business decisions and changes in the business environment. The team utilizes Excel, Access, linear programming models and various other analysis tools to understand costs, savings, service and operational impacts of decisions.
logistical alliances - Supports the development of strategic corporate initiatives that optimize total supply chain operating costs and service. Team members work with our customers to understand their logistical requirements and to implement programs to make the supply chain more efficient. Logistical alliances team members also serve in a business support role helping customer business teams and the distribution organization execute business plans as efficiently as possible.
Supply chain development managers – Serves in a business development role, looking for ways to optimize the supply chain for specific key customers.
