Most new hires in the Health Care Sales Group begin their careers with Kimberly-Clark as a Sales Representative on one of our four Sales Teams: Acute Care, Channel Supply, Pain Management and Temperature Management.
Acute Care Representatives: Customers include hospitals, surgical centers, Integrated Health Networks (IHN's), and distributors servicing hospitals and surgical centers (national and regional). This dynamic role requires flexibility and multi-tasking because the call points within a hospital are expansive. Acute Care Representatives consult with individuals in Materials Management, Nursing Staff, and Physicians.
Channel Supply Representatives: Customers include alternate care distributors and end users for Dental, EMS/Ambulance, dialysis, blood banks, bone tissue and eye banks, home health agencies, long term care facilities, etc. Channel Supply Representatives work with a segment of healthcare delivery that is rapidly growing in the U.S. These positions represent a unique opportunity for individuals who enjoy entrepreneurial thinking.
Pain Management Representatives: Customers include pain clinics, hospitals, surgical centers and physicians' offices. Pain Management Representatives work as consultants with physicians representing the distinctive segment of Pain Management.
Temperature Management Representatives: Customers include hospitals, with a primary focus on the Operating Room environment, and trauma. Temperature Management Representatives work as consultants with physicians and anesthesiologists representing a unique technology.
As a sales professional, you will be given opportunities to develop and evolve effective business relationships with end users and distributors. The primary objective of your responsibilities will be to meet your customers' needs through offering Kimberly-Clark's proven solutions while ensuring territory goals including sales and profitability are met.
New hires receive a combination of classroom training, field training, and operating room observational training. This initial eight week in-depth training process covers our products, our customers and our selling process.

Managerial Track – In a managerial track, proven results and leadership skills will help move a motivated individual throughout the organization. One career progression might be:
- Account Representative

- Region Sales Manager/ or Sales Operations Manager/ or National Accounts/Distribution/Corporate Accounts Manager
- Director of Sales / or Director of National / Corporate Accounts.
Advanced Sales Track – Many excellent sales people thoroughly enjoy their sales careers and prefer to advance along a sales track

sales representative (Account Focus) – The four levels of Sales Representative include Sales Associate, Account Representative, Account Consultant and Account Executive. Each of these positions requires effective customer relationship management with end users and distributors to ensure the achievement of sales and profitability goals.
sales representative (Specialized Product Focus) – The three levels of Sales Representative include Region Sales Representative, Region Sales Consultant and Region Sales Executive. Each of these positions requires effective customer relationship management with end users, distributors, region team members and national sales team members to ensure the achievement of sales and profitability goals.
account manager – consumer/CPT – Initiates and coordinates all national Consumer and Custom Procedural Tray (CPT) key account activity through development and maintenance of professional business and personal relationships with key account executives, in order to access business opportunities, to ensure the achievement of sales and profitability goals.
performance and learning consultant – The two levels of Performance and Learning Consultant include Performance and Learning Consultant and Performance and Learning Consultant II. Each of these positions has the responsibility for the development and delivery of learning processes and programs that enhance the performance of our Global Sales Team.
region sales manager – The two levels of Region Sales Manager include Region Sales Manager and Senior Region Sales Manager. Each of these positions lead the development, implementation and monitoring of strategic sales initiatives, and direct tactical plans and programs to achieve business objectives for assigned markets through leadership and effective team management.
sales operations manager – Provides leadership to drive sales operations excellence and support activities that maximize the effectiveness of the sales organization. The position has day-to-day responsibility for driving operational excellence for the Health Care sales organization.
national accounts/distribution/corporate accounts manager – Develop, implement, coordinate and evaluate integrated business planning and marketing processes, programs and systems with Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO's), distributors or Integrated Health Networks (IHN's) so that product penetration and profitability objectives are achieved.
director of sales – Uses highly developed team and organizational leadership skills, coupled with intimate knowledge of the healthcare industry to direct and motivate a diverse group of sales professionals toward fulfillment of business objectives.
