COMPENSATION, BENEFITS AND WORK/LIFE BALANCE PROGRAMS |
 |
 |
Competitive Pay
With our Performance Management process, employee pay is linked to performance against clearly established goals. This differentiated approach better positions K-C to attract and retain talented employees by rewarding people for good performance and holding people accountable for performance that does not meet expectations.
Vacation, Benefits, Flexible Work Arrangements
K-C offers a number of benefits, including health and medical insurance, life insurance and support for long-term illness. Many of our operations also support Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), which provide counseling services to employees and their families in difficult times. In 2005, K-C began offering domestic partner health care benefits in North America.
As part of our strategy to attract and retain talent, K-C offers, when feasible, flexible work arrangements, such as job sharing and flex-time to help employees balance professional and personal obligations.

FORMAL EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES |
 |
 |
K-C offers support in many forms, including subsidizing formal education activities. Our KimEd Program is designed to assist employees with the expenses associated with furthering their education, and contributes to tuition, fees, and books for degree programs at accredited schools. Employees work together with their supervisors on scheduling and other issues needed to balance work and school requirements. Certain costs to maintain professional certifications also are shared by the company.

LIVING IN NEENAH, WIS. / ROSWELL, GA. |

 |
Neenah, Wis.
Our North American Consumer Brand teams are located in Neenah, Wis. Rated by MONEY magazine as one of the "100 Best Places to Live," in 2006, Neenah and the Fox Valley offer urban style in communities that haven't lost their small town warmth, safety or affordability. Excellent sporting facilities, great shopping, arts and nightlife are all here along the Fox River and Lake Winnebago. Its close proximity to some of the most stunning lakes in the Midwest makes it ideal for activities such as boating, swimming, fishing and water skiing in the summer, and snowmobiling, ice skating, ice fishing and skiing in the winter.
The Fox Cities area is known for superior education. Its school districts consistently post ACT and SAT scores that are among the highest in the nation. The Neenah school district received a 5-Star (Gold) rating by Expansion Management magazine's 2003 ranking of metro wide public school systems, scoring 98 out of a possible 100 percent. Through professional advisory committees, schools partner with parents and businesses to translate our strong sense of community and pride in our professions to an outstanding educational experience for students of all backgrounds.
K-C has several active employee network groups. One of the most popular networks in the Neenah area is the New Employee Opportunity Network (NEON). While all of our networks are open to all employees, the NEON group has proven to be a great way for new employees to develop their leadership skills, but also to expand both their personal and professional networks by meeting many new employees from different areas of the company. NEON's activities, along with the K-C Activities Association, and community resources, like the PULSE young professionals network, provide ample opportunities for people new to the Fox Valley to get involved and find life outside of work as they make the area their new home.
Roswell, Ga.
Our Professional and Health Care global headquarters and Nonwovens teams are located in Roswell Ga., conveniently located 20 miles north of Atlanta. With all of the conveniences and amenities of a large city, Roswell is a premier residential area, which offers shopping, and an active community to embrace new arrivals. In addition, proximity to Atlanta provides access to all of the entertainment activities you would expect in a major metropolitan area, including professional sports, amusement parks, fine dining, nightlife, cultural venues, and one of the world’s largest aquarium facilities.

INTERVIEW/RECRUITING PROCESS |
 |
 |
The journey of finding the right company to fit your needs differs slightly for each individual. At K-C we provide a process of bringing people onboard so you can learn about the people, our culture and how you can make a contribution to our team.
If there is an opportunity that matches your experience and background with K-C's needs you'll be invited for a full day of onsite interviews. K-C will arrange your travel, if required, and you'll receive a packet of information about the company for your review.
If the match is a good one, you'll receive a verbal offer and one in writing. Immediately upon acceptance of the offer, a mentor is assigned to help you become acclimated to your new workplace and the community that you'll be living in. Your mentor can help in a house hunting or apartment finding mission. Depending on the team that you'll be on, all the essentials of start date, documentation and forms will be sent to you.
K-C offers a relocation program that helps you start your job and get settled into a new home as quickly and smoothly as possible.
