The Korean Management Association Consulting (KMAC) organization has once again named Yuhan-Kimberly as one of the most admired companies in Korea. Yuhan-Kimberly received a third place ranking among all Korean companies in 2009. This marks the sixth consecutive year Yuhan-Kimberly has been named to the top 10 of this prestigious list. Only 12 companies have made the list for six consecutive years. The company’s philosophy of reconciling work, family and the environment contributed to the recognition.
KMAC surveyed more than 10,000 Korean executives, employees and consumers to determine which companies would be honored. The survey evaluated major businesses’ innovation, customer and employee satisfaction, social and environmental responsibility, and shareholder value.
More than 60 percent of Yuhan-Kimberly employees volunteer their time for civic and environmental programs, including Yuhan-Kimberly’s Keep Korea Green campaign to overcome environmental problems stemming from rapid urbanization. As part of this effort, more than 36 million trees have been planted and nurtured. Tree cultivation includes mowing grass, growing young trees and trimming them, nurturing forests, and protecting all trees from diseases and harmful insects.
In addition, working for Korea’s leading health and hygiene company has distinct benefits such as its health and safety programs, longer maternity leave, flexible work schedules and counseling services available to Yuhan-Kimberly employees.
